Budget for the trip and the gear you carry.
A vehicle price is only part of the purchase. Keep your personal kit, support supplies and unpaid unlocks in the same plan.
Start with a wrench; price drills with a battery
The $150 Wrench is a starter tool that repairs all vehicles slowly. Its source does not list a battery requirement. The Driver budget kit also includes a $150 Fuel Can. The can is refillable at a refuel point or faction deployment zone, but its starting contents and exact capacity are not established here.
The Light Drill requires Support level 1 and a $10,000 unlock. The tool costs $600 and a standard Battery costs $150: $10,750 for the first tool-and-battery purchase if the unlock is unpaid, or $750 after unlocking. The Heavy Drill requires Support level 28 and a $25,000 unlock; its $1,300 price plus a Battery makes $26,450 initially or $1,450 afterwards.
The kit finder replaces the wrench with the highest reviewed drill that your levels, purchased unlocks and budget allow, adding the battery in the same step. A custom kit with a drill but no compatible battery gets a warning and an Add Battery button. One battery satisfies this presence check; it is not an estimate of runtime.
Pilot gear: check Career level, not just Pilot level
The starter Basic Parachute costs $100. The Sport Parachute costs $1,000 after a Career level 35, $25,000 unlock. Budget $26,000 for the first purchase if unpaid. Both are single-use and require manual deployment; the Sport version adds control.
Pilot recommendations begin with the Basic Parachute and substitute the Sport version only when permitted and affordable. These are planning choices, not mandatory pilot equipment rules. We have not verified a safe deployment altitude, landing damage or inventory fit.
Find my Driver or Pilot kit ↗Bring your builder draft into the vehicle budget
Customize a suggested kit first, then open Vehicles. The buyer budget combines the selected vehicle, your entered extras, your current builder draft and eligible unpaid unlock fees. It compares the total with your saved bank and reserve. You can exclude the draft if you are only pricing a vehicle.
The buyer calculation assumes you pay for the entire vehicle. The separate crew split divides only the vehicle and extras; it never divides your personal kit or unlock fees. A level-locked vehicle or an unknown price produces a subtotal, not an affordable verdict. Marking an unlock purchased does not remove the vehicle’s repeat purchase price.

What this does not calculate
Fuel range, repair time, battery drain, vehicle ammunition loads, passenger limits, vehicle modules and construction costs. Enter your own allowance for those extras. Supply stack limits are not confirmed vendor quantities, and we do not assume a Fuel Can requires a separate Fuel Supplies purchase.
Use the Driver XP table, Pilot XP table and progression planner for level requirements. See the data policy for remaining verification gaps.
