Bring the supplies with the hammer.
Choose the tool for the construction job, then leave enough cash for your weapon, medical gear and another deployment.
Which hammer should you bring?
Our kit finder starts Support kits with a Small Hammer and Build Supplies. It considers Medium or Large Hammers when your entered level, purchased unlocks and budget allow them. Choosing the highest available tier is our planning rule; it does not mean you need the most expensive tool for every job.
| Item / source | Purchase price | Unlock | Listed use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small Hammer ↗ | $100 | Starter | Small buildables; slow speed |
| Medium Hammer ↗ | $800 | Support 3 · $25,000 | Large and basic buildables; moderate speed |
| Large Hammer ↗ | $2,400 | Support 8 · $75,000 | All buildables; fast speed |
| Build Supplies ↗ | $10 / catalog purchase unit | Starter | Required by hammers; stacks to 50 |
These are MetaForge community records, not our in-game measurements. Exact structure eligibility and build times still need checking in the game.
Support level 3, $8,000 in the bank
With $2,000 held in reserve, you can spend $6,000. The Medium Hammer meets the level requirement, but its $25,000 unlock fee alone exceeds that budget. Keep the Small Hammer unless you already bought the upgrade.
If the Medium Hammer unlock is already purchased, its repeat tool cost is $800. Adding one catalog purchase unit of Build Supplies gives an $810 tool-and-supply allowance. That leaves $5,190 of spendable cash for the rest of the kit. Your per-kit limit can reduce that allowance further.
Buying the unlock for the first time requires $25,810 for that same tool-and-supply plan. The Large Hammer equivalent is $77,410 with its unpaid unlock, or $2,410 after you own the unlock. These are not complete loadout prices.
Set my Support level & budget ↗ Plan the Medium Hammer unlock ↗Before you buy
- Check supplies: all three hammers require Build Supplies. The builder flags missing supplies and can add one catalog purchase unit without removing your other gear.
- Check the vendor quantity: the source lists a stack limit of 50 and a $10 price, but does not confirm the amount included in a purchase. A stack limit is not proof of purchase quantity. Confirm the vendor contents before relying on a construction budget.
- Choose for the job: the Small Hammer has a narrower listed construction scope. A cheaper tool is useful only if it can build what your squad needs.
- Check placement and carry slots: this release checks supplies, levels and costs. It does not certify hammer equip slots, backpack packing or enough resources for a whole FOB.
Plan the base separately
Use the FOB planner to sketch a layout and enter the resource costs you see in-game. Its costs are not automatically deducted from your carried Build Supplies. Check the construction plan before choosing how much to take.
