Getting started in WARDOGS

What to take into your first match, how the objective works, and what to check before leaving spawn.

Where should you go?

WARDOGS has up to 100 players split across three teams. The team with the most players in the Control Zone earns points; the first to 100 wins. Find out where your squad is heading and how you are getting there before buying a kit.

For your first few matches, keep the job simple. Follow the squad to the objective or help get teammates back into the fight. You can learn the routes without spending most of your cash on gear.

What to bring

The Beginner preset includes a free Bushmaster M17S, extra FMJ, an Emergency Resuscitator, one bandage, binoculars and a basic parachute. Change the rifle to the starter weapon available to your faction. This is a suggested loadout using community-listed prices.

Check what comes with the weapon purchase before adding extras. Ammo in our builder means additional rounds; a spare magazine is a separate purchase. Check that the kit fits in your inventory.

What to change next time

Ran out of ammo? Add a few packs. Bought a tool you never touched? Leave it out next time. Make one or two changes so you can tell whether they helped.

The notes field stays with a saved build. Use it for things you want to remember, such as needing more bandages or a different optic.
